I did the same thing with a USB flash drive the card reader has a USB port with the same results. I then reinserted it and it was immediately recognized. I just inserted an SD card into the front-panel card reader in my PC, transferred files to it, then used the 'safely remove' option and removed the card. By the way I can do the Safe removal with the 3-d party program 'USB Safely Remove' but I would not like to use it. Where is it? Shall I install all the updates?
